Overview

Please join us on Easter Monday for a longer walk from Watton at Stone train station, across fields to Benington. From Benington we will drop down into the Beane Valley and follow the river back towards Watton at Stone, through Frogmore estate and back to the train station.

Moderate

From Watton at Stone to Benington, the path climbs gently. From Benington we drop down to the river and the path is relatively flat. There is some road walking for about 1/2 a mile from the ford at White Hill Farm to the Frogmore Hall estate entrance. I am expecting this road to be quiet on Easter Monday. We will stop for a break at Benington then again at Aston Ford, please bring your own refreshments as there are no facilities along the route. There are pubs and cafes in Watton at Stone for post walk refreshments.
