This walk starts and finishes by the River Lyvennet. It follows gravel tracks, field paths, narrow woodland paths as well as the riverside paths. An early coffee stop will be taken in the children's playground at High Whitber with lunch about 1pm in Bolton, where there are numerous seats, some sheltered. The return is mostly across fields back to the River and King's Meaburn.
There is a very short section of the river path that is narrow and could be slippery after rain. There are 7 wooden stiles, most are easy to navigate. Three do need to be crossed with care, two as they move when stood on and one that is too close to a hawthorn bush.
Suitable for dogs that can climb or be lifted over stiles.
