Join the celebrations with this longer walk on the Pennine Way.
On arrival of the AD122 bus from Hexham at Grandy's Knowe (at 9am), just west of Housteads, our walk will take us across Hadrian's Wall where we will pick up the Pennine Way north to Bellingham. This is a varied walk with wonderful scenery.
We will meet those doing the shorter walk for a Hexham Ramblers Tea at the Riverdale Hotel in Bellingham. Bookings for the tea must be made in advance and by Wednesday 9th July.
The return to Hexham will be by service bus unless you have made alternative arrangements.
Advance booking is required for this walk. To reserve your place and to book for the tea, please e-mail the walk leader, Carol, through the contact box above - and remember to include your mobile number in the e-mail.
Booking opens on Monday, 30th June for the walk and close on Wednesday 9th July for tea.
Please meet at Hexham Bus Station in time to catch the 8:30am AD 122 bus to Hadrian's Wall (Grandy's Knowe stop just after Housesteads). Bus passes are valid on this bus (as it is a Saturday) and the regular fare is currently £2.50. The AD122 bus stops at Acomb, Wall and Chollerford.
The walk will finish in Bellingham. The Tynedale Links bus service 680 leaves Bellingham for Hexham at 16:40, 18:40 and 19:40 should you wish to explore the town or the First & Last Brewery. The bus does stop at Wark, Chollerford, Wall and Acomb.
