Overview

An anniversary walk along Piethorne Valley to Denshaw and back. The ten reservoirs we visit are: Ogden, Kitcliffe, Piethorne, Hanging Lees, Rooden, New Year's Bridge, Dowery, Crook Gate, Readycon Dean and Norman Hill. We also visit two lovely hamlets in Haugh and Higher Ogden and cross Denshaw and Castleshaw Moors. If there has been any substantial rain there will of course be mud, so please come in appropriate walking gear. If it's a hot sunny day, please bring plenty of water  If you favour shorts on summer walks, there is a challenging 200 metre section of brambles and nettles. Route may change if there is substantial rain. This walk has a couple of steep climbs, so a good degree of fitness is required. Lunch stop will be at New Bridge Reservoir.
