We are the Tavistock Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We will walk from Pork Hill car park over Pew Tor and down to Tavistock via Whitchurch Down. There should be lots of good views on this route which is substantially down-hill. It is on easy moorland tracks with a few stretches of quiet lanes.
I plan to arrive in Tavistock in time for lunch and then catch the 98 bus back to the car park. Alternatively contact the leader before the walk to arrange car-sharing and return shuttle from Pixon Lane car park.
The weather looks fine but cold and windy so please wear layered clothing suitable for a winter walk including warm hat and gloves!
