Overview

We'll start by walking up Belstone Cleave following the River Taw - a beautiful stretch  towards Sticklepath before returning on the otherside.  We'll take the moorland route, over Watchet Hill and the Tarka Trail along  the East Okement to the station. Returning the other side of the Okement, we'll go under the A30 and return to Belstone via Higher Priestacott.

The keenest of you will note that the start of this walk has been changed  due to road works in Okehampton.

Sections are muddy and some low stream crossing so boots essential.

This walk follows a mixture of good paths and more challenging ones which can be narrow especially Halstock Wood above the river.

It’s a walk many have enjoyed on other occasions.

Please text walk leader if you wish to join the walk.
