Overview

This walk starts on the Middlewood Way and continues across several scenic fields and woods in between two canals, Macclesfield Canal and Peak Forest Canal. There is ascent and descent throughout but this is mostly mild and easy. Footpath in Torkington Wood can be narrow and tricky. Expect some areas to be very muddy. In very wet or other bad weather conditions this walk might be cut short to just over 8 miles.
