Circular walk approx 6 to 8 miles. Assistance dogs only.
Walk a short way along Hinderwell Lane to a stile on the left. Through the field, carefully cross main road and walk through Newton Mulgrave. Footpath by fields goes into woods then Oakridge Nature Reserve. Take road out of Dalehouses and into Staithes, stopping at car park for a break. From car park follow footpath onto clifftop and join Cleveland Way back to start point.
About 7.5 miles
There will be a ten minute break. Please feel free to bring a drink/snack to enjoy.
There are 2 car parks at Bank Top. The first one is well sign posted, smaller and the cheapest. It is called Cleveland car park, £4.40 for 4 hours, pay at machine by card or phone only. The other at the end of the lane (building work ongoing off road) is Bank Top Lane, £5.80 for 4 hours. Takes cash or card. I strongly suggest car sharing where possible. Note there are no public toilets!
The break will be just over halfway and there are facilities at Staithes car park.
There are 2 stiles and several steps along Cleveland Way. Some parts of the path are quite close to the cliff edge
Car park fee payable, toilets no longer in use.
