Overview

A short walk through the parks and green spaces around Romiley and Marple.

Christmas fancy dress is optional for this walk, but please wear walking boots or strong shoes as there is likely to be mud and uneven ground.

Please bring a torch in case it is gloomy at the end of the walk.

Ascent: 200 metres

Transport to Walk Start: 12:18 train from Manchester Piccadilly station (final destination New Mills Central).

Meet Point:  Near the ticket barriers at Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train or at Romiley Station.

Suggested Ticket: Off Peak Day Return to Romiley £6.70

Return Services: x:11/12, x:44/45 & x:47/48 until 21:44.

Extra: No toilets at walk start. Toilets en route at Etherow Park.
