Overview

This is a leisurely five-mile walk along the beautiful wooded valley of the River Tees and its tributary Scur Beck. We will be walking along field, woodland and riverside paths and tracks and is along fairly level ground - no steep inclines. There are a couple of stiles and muddy sections with some rough areas through the woodland. There is a short section of road walking. For our end-of-walk pot of tea there are several cafes in Barnard Castle including Bowes Museum.
