This walk will be led by Tony Ashbridge.
Following parts of the Wolds Way and Centenary Way this varied walk affords splendid views over the eastern edge of the Wolds and the glorious vista of Filey Bay. Starting from the village we head down Northgate and soon reach a farmtrack taking us Centenary Way towards Muston reaching the busy A165 road we cross carefully before entering the village. Continuing north into beautiful open countryside we wend our way towards Gristhorpe taking care when crossing the railway line just before the village.
From Gristhorpe we turn back south over the railway again and then meander along tracks and field edges , taking care at another busy road, pausing at the secret garden en route ,then heading gradually upwards towards an escarpment where an impressive panoramic vista of the Eastern Wolds and Filey Bay presents itself to us.
We are now on the Wolds Way, care to be taken crossing the next busy road and continue to the lunch stop before meandering along a narrow tree lined valley before a short steep ascent back onto the Centenary Way and then a gentle stroll towards the end.
