We are the Tavistock Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We’ll walk along the edge of the moor towards Nodden Gate, then along a small road to pick up the West Devon Way and cross Fernworthy Down towards Lydford. It’s currently muddy, wet and slippy underfoot in places. We’ll cross a small stream, so waterproof footwear advised. We’ll stop for coffee, so you might want to bring a flask with a warm drink.

The car park is behind the Dartmoor Inn on the A386. Please note that it is NOT the Dartmoor Inn car park. From Tavistock direction, turn right and drive to the left of the Dartmoor Inn along a small track. You go through a gate. This unofficial car park is unpaved and there are pot holes to negotiate.
