**This walk replaces the Westerdale walk**
The walk first explores the Country Park, starting near the site of the Normanby Brickworks, along to the site of Ormesby Brickworks, up Godfather Hill and along to a viewpoint. We then go through Great West Plantation and along Crabtree Walk. If the weather is particularly severe, we could abandon it there, making the total distance just less than 2 miles. If it is not too bad, we can cross Flatts Lane and pass through Quarry Plantation and Claphams Wood before ascending to Normanby Moor then returning down to the carpark.
A good proportion of the walk is sheltered by trees and also mainly sheltered from a northerly wind.
Mostly on good paths and tracks although there a couple of places which could be quite muddy.
