Exploring the area under Sutton Bank this walk has wonderful views stretching (on a clear day) over to the Dales.
A mixture of good wide trails and footpaths we head out West from Felixkirk then circle round to the lovely village of Boltby where we have lunch. A trail through a forestry plantation leads us to Kirby Knowle from where we follow footpaths back to Felixkirk.
There are a few stiles on this walk. There are a couple of narrow stream crossings which need crossing with care and one steep muddy decent that has been made very slippery with the recent rain so poles would be very useful.
Given all the recent rain the path during the last mile has become flooded in places so you may get a wet foot!
We did encounter cows but they ignored us.
Refreshments will be at the Carpenter Arms and need to be prebooked. They will provide tea and scones for £6.95 per head
Once you have booked onto the walk please let the walk leader know if you would like the tea and scones.
