Starting at Silton Forest Car Park we gradually climb up through the forest to the Cleveland Way. Turning right on the Cleveland Way we take in Black Hambleton with it's views of Vales of York and Mowbray. Dropping down we then pass through Nether and Over Silton taking in the strange and intriguing St. Mary's church before returning to the car park. The walk is mainly on good paths and quiet lanes passing through a couple of farm yards. There are some muddy places and one of the farm yards is quite a sight but other than that it is a perfect winter walk for whatever the weather throws at us. Climbing is steady and there are no stiles.
It might mean an extra few miles on your journey but PLEASE do try to avoid crossing the A19

Apologies but due to a total lack of any facility nearby I am unable to organise Tea + Cake after the walk. Hopefully you will all be able to make your own arrangements closer to home.
