Overview

Circular walk approx 5.5 miles. Assistance dogs only. Cross the B1264 to join footpath and walk south west past Worsall to Church Lane.  Follow Church Lane and farm road to track junction near Viewley Hill Farm.  About face and retrace your steps to the start of Church Lane, turn left and walk up Village Road, right along Stobarts Lane and then right down Piersburgh Lane to rejoin the B1264  Walk uphill in the direction of Yarm for just over a kilometre then cross the road and enter Saltergill Lane.  Walk along the lane until a bridleway is reached on the right, turn around and retrace your steps to the B1264  - cross the road and proceed south west for approx 500 metres then cross the road to join a lane heading generally south west back to the cars. Map: OS Explorer 304 (Darlington and Richmond). The route of this walk has been devised to avoid walking across heavily waterlogged and muddy fields.
