The walk takes us, mainly on field paths, to the villages of Fenny Bentley, Thorpe and Parwich before returning to Bradbourne. The terrain is full of undulations, some of them very steep. This, combined with a few difficult stiles shades the walk into the strenuous grading.
Bradbourne is one of the 51 Thankful Villages of England, having suffered no losses during World War I. It is also one of 14 Doubly Thankful Villages suffering no losses in World War II. It is the only village in Derbyshire to bear this title.
We will have three stops on the walk, the first at Fenny Bentley, the second at Thorpe and a third somewhere between there and Parwich.
If you would like to join this walk please contact the Leader using the email link.
There is no limit on numbers.
There are a number of difficult stiles, making.the walk unsuitable for dogs.
