We go along the Robin Hood Way then pass through Brackenhurst campus leading to the A612. We cross the main road and walk through the picturesque village of Halloughton where we will have our coffee stop. We will walk through rolling countryside to cross the A612 and then return via the Brackenhurst campus and the Robin Hood Way.
There terrain is undulating, there are no stiles. We will be crossing a main road twice and, with road walking, we all need to take care. With the rain we have had, one should come prepared for mud and a pole can be helpful.

Please be at Hearty Goodfellows by 9:45 so as not to delay the start (the pub does not open until midday so no toilets are available).
Please bring refreshments for the coffee stop.
Park at the Hearty Goodfellow 81 Church Street, Southwell NG25 0HQ. The car park is rather small so please car share if possible. If the car park is full please park considerately in Farthingate which is opposite the pub.
Take the A52 towards Bingham then follow the A6097 to Lowdham roundabout and follow the A612 to Southwell. We turn right though Westgate then at the mini roundabout turn right again onto Church Street, we find the Hearty Goodfellow on the left. Approximately 45 minutes drive from West Bridgford.
Public Transport: Bus to Victoria Centre (Stop v4) then take 26 which stops by the pub. The journey on the 26 takes about 1 hour 10 mins so total travel time from West Bridgford is about 1 hour 45 mins.
