Overview

West Mendip Walkers moderate 11 mile circular walk from Camerton. Leaving the car park at Meadgate we walk NW to Timsbury, turn NE across fields to Priston then on up to Inglesbatch. We drop down to Priston Mill before the steep climb up to Wilmington. We then walk a short distance along a quiet lane before heading north along the track through Whistling Copse. Another short stretch of quiet lane before we drop down into the grounds of Newton Park, now Bath Spa University. After lunch here we head along the valley to Stanton Prior, then go south along good tracks and fields towards Priest Barrow and Farmborough Common. We skirt the bottom of One Tree Hill before retracing our steps to Timsbury then on to Camerton, with the option to stop for refreshments at Meadgate Farm Cafe.
