Overview

Bring your binoculars and dress warmly! We will spend the morning on a slow circuit around the Lee Valley lakes to the East of Cheshunt, looking for ducks, geese, swans and other birds. We will visit the Lee Valley Wildlife Discovery Centre which has a raised viewing platform (and nearby toilets).

The walk continues north along the canal to Wormley where we will have an hour for a late lunch in the Queens Head pub (CASH ONLY). After lunch we return to the canal, and continue on to Broxbourne.

Flat, firm paths, no stiles, puddles and a little mud if wet. Late lunch, bring a morning snack. Phone on the day 07513185770.

Train depart London Liverpool Street 10.08 (Arrive Cheshunt at 10.35, zone 8). Train ticket: Return to Broxbourne (zone 9).
