We will walk from Hampton along the Lower Sunbury Road and then make our way through Hawke Park to the lunch stop after about 2.5 miles at the Walled Garden in Sunbury on Thames. There are benches, toilets and a cafe. But most importantly there is a Gallery housing an amazing embroidery (www.sunburygallery.org). For the visually impaired there are a number of tactiles, a series of bas-reliefs created by embroidery designer John Stamp and other artists that depict details from the embroidery. In the afternoon we will then make our way to Shepperton along School Walk.
If you are able to offer help in guiding a visually impaired walker, please email monika_eady@yahoo.co.uk or text 07890 004794 so we know many members of the London Blind Ramblers we can invite.
