We will resume the Thames Path from Henley-on-Thames where we finished in November.
This is a scenic stretch of the river through the Chiltern hills from Henley along the famous Regatta course to Marlow. There is a diversion from the path due to closure of the bridge at Temple Lock. Due to the diversion we will make a scenic crossing of the river at Hambleden Lock via a 200 meter-long gantry above the weir.
Please bring a snack, picnic lunch and water. We plan to stop for drinks and toilets at a golf club bar/clubhouse..
Toilets at Henley-on-Thames station car park and at Twyford station (platform 4).
GWR train from Paddington at 09:37 arriving at Twyford at 10:09 to catch 10:15 train from platform 5 arriving Henley on Thames at 10:27. Or Elizabeth Line train from Ealing Broadway at 09:26 arriving Twyford at 10:05.
Return from Marlow station - hourly service with change at Maidenhead for GWR or Elizabeth Line.
