We follow 'The Ridgeway' to Pitstone Hill with scenic views towards Ivinghoe Beacon. Then we descend to Pitstone Village and enter College Lake Wildlife Centre at Bulbourne. The reserve lakes are set within former chalk quarries, supporting a vast amount of wildlife species. There are some stunning views across these lakes from the Eco visitor centre which has a small cafe, gift shop and toilets. Bring a picnic lunch with time to use the cafe for drinks. The full walk includes following the 2 mile 'wild trail' around the nature reserve giving some lovely views across the lakes and hopefully spotting a variety of birds from the hides. On leaving the reserve we follow the G U canal back to Tring Station.
