This suburban walk takes in five attractive parks and gardens with plenty of interesting and unusual features.
Meet at Crystal Palace station at 10.30. There are toilets (platform 1) and a café. The walk finishes at Forest Hill station. Both stations are served by overground and rail, and are in the zones.
Lunch in Dulwich Park (where there is a café). Tea in the Horniman Museum café (if there’s room).
There are many opportunities to drop out. We come very close to West Dulwich station soon after lunch, and pass numerous bus stops.
Expect some mud. There are some hills and some road walking.
