An undulating walk over the North Downs, through woodlands and vineyards in the Kent Weald.  There are a couple of steep ascents and descents which are potentially slippery after rain as the ground is chalky and uneven in places.  The terrain is mostly up and down.  Walking poles may be helpful if you use them.  There are 7 stiles to climb over and a couple of fallen trees to duck under.
Bring a picnic lunch and enough water for the duration of the walk as there are no refreshments available until the end of the walk.
Travel - The outward journey and the return journey are on different train lines.
Outward - Catch the 9.20am High Speed train from St Pancras International (it also stops at Stratford International) to Ramsgate and change at Strood for the 10.03 to Snodland from platform 3. It's best to be in the front carriages of the Ramsgate train to enable an easier change at Strood.
Buy 2 single tickets.  Outward - single to Snodland on the high speed train.  Return from Sole Street to London.
The toilets are closed at Snodland and Sole St stations so please use the facilities on the train.
