We are the Tavistock Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Walk from Steps Bridge through Bridford Wood to Burnicombe, then Westcott and Mardon Down to Clifford Bridge, and back through Dunsford Wood (which hopefully will be full of daffodils at this time of year) back to Steps Bridge. A few ups (a couple being long) and downs. There are a couple of stream crossings, one of which is via large stones (not traditional stepping stones) with the aid of a guiding rail of sorts (an adjacent fence). Please contact the walk leader if you are unsure about this, as it could prove tricky for some.
Mainly woodland, moorland and meadow paths and tracks, sunken lanes and two short sections of minor roads.
Bring a drink for our mid-morning coffee stop and food for our lunch stop. Dogs welcome. Estimated finish time around 2.30pm.
Possibly coffee and cakes afterwards in Dunsford or Moretonhamptead?

Possible car sharing from Pixon Lane car park, Tavistock . Walk leader will not be there and car sharing not guaranteed. Suggest allow at least 45 mins to drive to Steps Bridge.
