We are the Cleveland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Field and moorland paths and tracks, with a little walking on quiet roads. Much of the walk has extensive views. Assistance dogs only.
From Beacon Hill, the route goes NW along the road for 0.4ml, then takes moorland tracks W and NW to Clitherbeck Farm, where the Pannierman's Causeway is taken. We follow this SW and pick up a field path into Danby Village.
A track on the moorland edge takes us to Danby Lodge National Park Centre (toilets).The Esk Valley Walk is then followed on to the high level road to Houlsyke. A field path and then a moorland track returns us to the Beacon.
There will be a ten minute break. Please feel free to bring a drink/snack to enjoy.
