Join us for a leisurely, scenic walk, Section 1 of The Round Ealing Circuit (TREC), from Ealing Broadway station to Hanwell Station via a number of parks and green spaces and along a short section of the Grand Union Canal. Sights along the route include: Pitzhanger Manor (the architect John Soane's country home) and the Wharncliffe Viaduct (designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel). We are aiming to finish the walk around 12.30pm; there is an optional, short extension at the end to walk from the Station to the Brent Lodge Park cafe.
The walk is mostly on level pavements and rolled gravel paths, with a small amount of downhill and uphill for the section of the walk alongside the Grand Union Canal. Paths maybe be a bit muddy if wet especially along the Canal towpath. Note: The walk being provided on Thursday 18th January is a reverse of this walk route.
