Overview

This walk from Faversham to Whitstable is part of both the Saxon Shore Way and the England Coast Path. The walk follows a part of the 160 mile Saxon Shore Way running from Gravesend to Hastings. Starting at Faversham Station the route passes through the historic town centre and out onto the marsh and reclaimed land beyond. The wide open skies dominate both the marshes and the coastal path. The walk ends in Whitstable with shops, bars and restaurants. Note: Although an easy walk, ie flat, the pace will be brisk. No drop out points.

Lunch: Late picnic lunch on the beach near the only toilet - plenty of cafes and pubs once in Whitstable.

Train: London St Pancras High Speed 9:20; Stratford Int 9:27; Arr 10:30 (Ramsgate train); OR London Victoria 9:10; Bromley South 9:27; Arr 10:25. (Dover Priory Train). Buy return to Whitstable.
