This walk links the churches referred to in the nursery rhyme "Oranges and lemons", with a focus not on the churches but on the varied parks, plazas and back streets of Inner London seen en route, through Stepney, Whitechapel, Shoreditch, the City, Fleet Street, Aldwych and Covent Garden.
Inner London is largely flat, but we cross a number of potentially busy roads.
The finish time will depend on how often, and long, we stop en route, and the final section through Covent Garden may be crowded, but there are many opportunities to opt out in the later stages of the route.
Train: Limehouse station is the start, but will have no rail services on the day of the walk. There should be a frequent DLR service to and from Bank, and there are several bus routes past Limehouse along Commercial Road.
Lunch: Café or picnic around Liverpool Street, which has toilets, food outlets, and benches nearby.
Toilet: None on Limehouse DLR at start, or in first two kilometres, but available at various points including lunch.
