Overview

Renowned for bluebell woods, this area, although close to Croydon, is in the Green belt.  A chalky area there are ups and downs, fields and valleys.  We start with a climb up to Riddlesdown then head east to Hamsey Green.A stretch of road walking is rewarded by a bluebell bath as we walk through Kings Wood. Partly on the London Loop and Vanguard Way, we reach the small 11th Century church at Farleigh the picnic spot.We subsequently stop at the Bull on Chelsham Common for a drink and loo stop .Skirting the Woldingham Golf Club we take the downward path to Woldingham Station.
