This walk is on open moorland, tracks and quiet lanes, comprising one steep descent and a couple of steepish ascents. From the car park we walk towards Hay Tor to pick up the Templar Way, and then back via Smallacombe Rocks and Black Hill where we will stop for coffee and admire the fabulous views. There is then a steep descent to a track to the small hamlet of Leighon. On quiet lanes we then climb up skirting around Hound Tor to the medieval village where will stop for lunch before crossing Becka Brook. From their we climb out of the valley back on to the moor by Smallacombe Rocks and then return to the car park.
