A circular walk from Calverleigh, with paths and green lanes and by (carefully) crossing the A361 takes us up to the 15thC Washfield Church (17thC rood screen). A plethora of good views, enjoyable paths and green lanes across the rolling county side of Mid-Devon then leads us to the 15thC Stoodleigh Church, which is noted for its original wooden ceiling bosses and upcycled Norman font. Mainly downhill walking along lanes then rapidly brings us to the 12thC Loxbeare Church, famous for its Norman tower and rustic Romanesque doorway. Paths and green lanes then take us downhill back to the 14thC Calverleigh Church.
This is a moderate walk with Mid-Devon Hills.
