Another walk exploring the 'northern heights' of London. We walk along part of the Capital Ring through Highgate Woods to the point where the Mutton Brook and the Dollis Brook join to form the River Brent. From here we join the Dollis Valley Walk which will take us to Woodside Park and on to Mill Hill East. Here we walk along a disused railway line (once planned to be part of the Northern Line). The final part of the walk goes via Arrandene Open space and the older part of Mill Hill with the walk ending at Mill Hill Broadway Station. Much of the walk is on hard-surfaced paths, but there may be some muddy sections and there are also some short hilly sections.
Please bring a picnic lunch, but stops will be made for coffee/tea at cafes. There are WCs on the route but mainly in the morning.
There is a drop-out point at Mill Hill East Station (Northern Line) in the afternoon, and it would be possible to leave the walk at many other points and catch a bus.
