A walk linking some of West London's interesting areas old, new and querky. Starting first by crossing Holland park (with a brief toilet stop), we then weave our way to Brompton Cemetery (one of London's Magnificent Seven Victorian burial grounds). Will make a brief mid-morning stop here, please bring warm drink if you wish. Our route continues south crossing the Kings Road and through small park to arrive at Chelsea Waterfront. This is the site of the old Lots Road Power station and Chelsea creek, the whole area is being redeveloped for luxury living. We should have great views along and across the Thames towards Battersea, Continuing along the Thames path we reach Chelsea Harbour and marina an older rival. Possible drop out at Imperial Wharf Overground (Mildmay line) station at about 4 miles.
Please bring picnic to eat here there are some benches, river views and a pub for drinks and toilets. Our route continues along the north bank of the Thames through Hurlingham park to Putney Bridge (another poss. drop out ). This river path will take us all the way to Hammersmth station using a new section at Fulham Pier at one point.
A level walk virtually all on good paved surfaces.
No dogs please.
