Overview

A walk of 8.5 miles 1105ft of ascent, with 9 stiles, two of which are a bit wobbly. There are two short steady hill climbs.

From Lealholm our route follows the River Esk south, turning west to visit the well laid out gardens of High Brock Rigg. We then traverse the edge of Glaisdale Moor before descending into Greater Fryup Dale, from here we head north to the hamlet of Housyke, before returning via Elm Ridge. A delightful walk capturing all the renowned charm that the area has to offer.

Refreshments afterwards in the Yorkshire Cycle Hub in Fryupdale.5
