From Ledston we head through fields and woods to Ledsham village. Then we follow the Coffin Road (bridleway) to Fairburn Ings RSPB Nature Reseve where we will visit one of the hides close to the visitor centre. We will then stop for a picnic lunch at the VC where there are toilets and a shop where you can purchase coffees, teas and snacks. After lunch we will make our way back to Ledston along field paths with views across the reserve and the Aire valley to Leeds.
There is plenty of roadside parking through Ledston village
The meeting point is the post box opposite the village cafe and wine shop
There are 3/4 stiles and a couple of short sections on country roads.
The field paths are mainly good with some muddy patches dependent on weather conditions - walking shoes advised
There is a pub at the end of the walk (White Horse) where those that wish can retire for refreshments/toilets.
