Walk through some of the best parts of the Royal Parks using some waterside paths alongside the lakes and following a section of the Regents Canal. We cross Primrose Hill, then loop round a large part of Regents Park with a 15 mins coffee stop at the Boating Lake Cafe. Soon after, we walk along the Regent Canal to Little Venice, soon to pass the modern developments around Paddington. Lunch time will be in Paddington near to Norfolk Square Gardens where you can either have your picnic lunch in the gardens or sit in one of the many pubs or cafes close by for a light lunch and/or drinks. Will hopefully allow 45 mins for the lunch break. We then continue along a quiet route into Hyde Park to walk alongside the Serpentine, working our way down to Hyde Park Corner. Finally, we'll walk through Green Park and alongside the St. James's Park lake to cross into Trafalgar Sq. hoping to see some Christmas Markets and Tree. We can finish there if walkers wish to browse around, but will cut down passing Charing Cross to the Embankment Station.
Toilets at several points but 20p/Card payment at toilets in the Parks. Will also stop at 2 free toilets.
Meet outside the entrance to Chalk Farm Station (Northern Line)
Can bring picnic but should be able to purchase quick food at lunchtime as there are a variety of cafes/pubs, but come prepared with a snack in case it is busy.
Many drop out points along the route.
Walking using paved paths.
