Overview

Moel Fferna  is a northern outlier of the Berwyn range. Starting from Llidiart-Y-Parc on the A5. Ascending through forest we reach open moorland and visit the disused slate mine. We return by the same route or the walk would be nearer 10 miles! Mainly clear tracks but it is high moorland so can be heathery and boggy in places. Exposed in poor weather but hopefully far reaching views.

Bring refreshments for coffee and lunch stops.
