C WALK DESCRIPTION: Starting at a layby on the A417, we take a quiet lane, short field paths, pass through the attractive village of Redmarley, a bridle path and particularly pleasant woodland where we will take a break in a small clearing. Out in the open again, another good grassy path and then we descend by an easy track to the impressive early 19th century Durbridge Mill, a Grade II Listed former corn mill, situated in a quiet valley. We ascend slowly out of the valley along a good path, pass through a farm and follow the Geopark Way along a most attractive valley. We will have a picnic lunch around here. The Geopark Way continues alongside a wood, we cross through the wood and return to Redmarley village and retrace our earlier route back to the main road where we started. We finish off with a break at the Rose & Crown pub with our waiting coach 5 minutes away. Walk distance: 7 miles. Picnic lunch and pub stop at the end. Leader: Brenda Cameron.
