Leaving Rhymney station we will go through the war memorial park before making our way to Rhymney Hill.  From Rhymney Hill we will enter the back of Bryn Bach Park via the flying club. Following footpaths around the park and near to the lake we will encounter many species of water birds, whilst making our way to to Llechryd and on to the Twisted Chimney sculpture (by modern artist Simnai Dirdro).  Continuing on to the historic village of Bute we will pick up footpath alongside the alongside the river Rhymney which we follow back to our starting point.
