Overview

This walk is 9 miles with approx 440 m of ascent. Mainly on good tracks and field paths with 3 stiles.

The early start allows us to enjoy Easby Abbey and the riverside and get back to the cafe!

We will head from the car park to join the river, then follow the Easby loop to the Abbey where we will have a break to allow time to explore. We then follow the river loop back to pick up the river path before crossing by the footbridge west of the caravan park. We follow the north of the river before climbing up to Low Applegarth where we will have lunch. The route then takes us back to Richmond where we will have tea at a cafe in the Market Square.
