from Kippax Bowling Green/Tennis Courts we walk via fields woods & brdle paths through Allerton Bywater into St Aidans RSPB reserve. Around the perimeter passing Methley & Lemonroyd Lock beside the Leeds Liverpool canal & River Aire. Back through centre of reserve for a spot of bird watching ( binoculars useful ) to the visitors centre cafe & pic nic area where we will stop for lunch. Toilets available
From St Aidans make our way back to Kippax via Hollinhurst Wood to the start point where you are invited for refreshments at the leaders home which is 50 yards from the start point.
walk is 7.5 miles but will be at a leisurely pace and mainly flat
