From Addingham we make our way over to the golf course and follow the footpaths up to Haw Pike passing through Highfield Farm on the way.From here we drop down through the fields to join the lane which takes us into the village of Draughton were we will stop for a lunch break. After the break we cross over the A65 Skipton road and head up to High Edge and then onto Counter Hill before dropping down into the lane which we follow back into Addingham.
The walk is mainly across fields and farmland following good paths and farm tracks with some long spells of road walking inbetween. There are a number of stiles to cross and it may be possible we will encounter cattle in some of the fields.Weather dependant there are good views across the valley towards Beamsley Beacon and beyond. Refreshments after the walk will be at the Fleece P.H.
