A very varied walk with lots of points of interest as well as some great views. The walk starts by going through Abney Park Cemetery, one of the Victorian 'magnificent seven' cemetries, and then through Clissold Park and along a stretch of the New River to reach the Woodberry Wetlands nature reserve where we'll stop for coffee and toilets. The walk then continues along the New River path through Finsbury Park,, along Harringay Passage and eventually reaching Alexandra Palace. Lunch will be on the terance with panoramic views over London (picnic) or there is a cafe and pub inside. The walk continues to Highgate via the Parkland Walk (a disused railway track) and Highgate Woods.
Mainly good paths but if there has been heavy rain some muddy patches are inevitable.
