Starting at Tadcaster bus station Britannia car park (free at the time of recceing) at 10.30am. Just adjacent to this spot going left along the main road we pass through a couple of gates and walk along the river Wharfe. Keeping the river to our left for around four miles we eventually come to the pretty village of Ulleskelf. We walk along Main Street, over the railway line (Ulleskelf Station) and we're soon back into the fields across countryside. Around a mile from Ulleskelf is another very tiny village - Kirkby Wharfe. We may have a stop here for lunch depending on the weather. After this point we head back towards the river Wharfe retracing our steps! ..... It looks different going the other way!! Couple of pubs to choose from at the end of the walk if anyone wishes to partake in refreshments!
The walk is pretty flat and grassy. Can be quite wet. It's a very tranquil walk - the only noisy bit is when we pass below the A64 where it can also be very muddy, so please make sure you have suitable gear. Cows in fields along the route. A few stiles.
Main bus route from Leeds is the Coastliner.
PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL - it will not reach me! Just text or phone and leave a message - I will get back to you.
