30 August - Leisurely / Part Moderate - Around Ennerdale Water

This full circuit of Ennerdale Water is a relatively easy walk, the greater majority on tracks and paths close to the shoreline. There is, however, a short rocky section where care needs to be taken and should be graded more seriously as Moderate.

For this reason the walk will be split at the start into a choice of return linear walk or a full circuit walk. Leader Janet will follow the north side lake and forest trail, clockwise route, relatively flat. Leader Harry will take the scheduled south side, anti-clockwise circuit including Anglers Crag. When both sets meet they will take the north side and forest trail together to the finish.
