From Peter House Farm we take the Cumbria Way (CW) path passing Dash Falls. We continue on the CW until we reach Dead Beck where we turn North East and ascend to the summit of Great Calva. From here we take the path that heads north across boggy ground (towards Knott), we eventually turn West and take the path through a narrow pass beside Hause Gill. We continue west traversing under Great Cockup and Little Cockup until we meet the Orthwaite Road. We turn south and follow the road a short distance back to Peter House Farm.
