Overview

The starting point will be Great Wood National Trust (NT) Car Park.

We will take the rocky and undulating terrace path to Ashness Bridge before ascending at a leisurely pace to the summit of Walla Crag. From here we descend quickly, making our way to Derwentwater shoreline, on route we will take in the Castle Head viewpoint.

If you are a NT member please bring membership cards.

Dogs are welcome, under close control and preferably on a lead.
