Carrock Fell and High Pike have almost same altitudes of 649 metres (2129 feet) and 658 metres (2159 feet) respectively. They are the most northerly of the Lakeland Fells over 2000 feet. From the summits, on a clear day, there is an excellent view of the Solway Firth and the Scottish Border hills. From the common at Calebreck gentle paths and tracks follow Carrock Beck initially, then ascend gently via Miton Hill and Round Knott to the summit of Carrock Fell. Returning via Miton Hill and over High Pike more gentle paths and tracks, including part of the Cumbria Way, descend to Calebreck.
